A teacher can set up the podcast area prior to class so it can almost be similar to a "center" during Literacy. Also, before recording, the teacher can make sure the assignment and expectations are clear to the students. During the podcast, the teacher can recommend the student practice at home with a parent so the lines sound more comfortable. After the podcast, the teacher will have to put in the time to produce the final product, however if the students have done what has been asked, this should not be as hard as it seems.
If podcasts are not available, a teacher can always tape record the students and create a cd for a parent or to play in the morning school announcement.
